Sunflowers
Flowers were given as a form of love language.  During the Victorian era in the 1800’s
symbolism of flowers was a popular pastime. Each flower represented a meaning
behind the giving of that flower to the recipient.  When the feelings couldn’t be proclaimed
publicly, the giver could express through flowers.
Sunflowers represent Loyalty like the strong stems,
Long-life as sunflowers bloom for a long time, Positivity and Strength as the
blooms turn to face the sun, Nourishing since the abundant seeds are edible,
Vibrant with the bright color of the petals, Unity/Community as sunflowers grow
in clusters and represent Admiration Non-Romantic Love towards a friend or
family member.  For some cultures the
sunflower represents Good Luck or Good Fortune.
